Chad Fruscione is a queer, Italian, Jewish Jersey boy raised in Monmouth County. If you lived there, you probably heard him loudly singing literally everywhere he went. At eight years old, he performed in his first show and he never looked back. He spent middle and high school doing theatre all over New Jersey, before deciding to pursue it as a career.

In 2021, Chad moved to Boston to study Musical Theatre at Emerson College. He spent two years in their MT program, before deciding to focus on acting. There, he took Michael Chekhov, Alexander technique, Shakespeare, devising, and stage combat. He also took three semesters of Linklater Voice, including a three-week course in Orkney Islands, Scotland that changed his life. On this trip, Chad experienced the joy and the power of feeling truly free, and began to confront the anxieties that kept him from this freedom. He carried these valuable lessons with him as he graduated from Emerson in 2025, with a BFA in Acting.

That summer, Chad moved to Memphis, where he began his work as an Associate Resident Company member at Playhouse on the Square. Since he arrived, Chad has performed in seven shows in 14 months, and has three more on the horizon. He will be in Memphis through July of 2027. 

Whether he is onstage, backstage, or in the audience, Chad is drawn to theatre that not only entertains, but informs, confronts, and empowers. He is always looking for new collaborators, and is excited for the future ahead.
